August 3rd 2013 saw the first ever Leicester Deaf Club cup competition in Dodgeball. Five teams entered: The Minotaurs, Walsall Warriors, The Titans. MDL allstars and The Olympians. All of the teams played each other for league position with the top two playing in the final. There were some extremely good matches all played in a friendly atmosphere. The Final league positions were 1 MDL allstars 2 Minotaurs 3Titans 4 Walsall Warriors 5 Olympians. Some very good quality dodgeball was played along the way.
MDL allstars and Minotaurs played in a very close final that swung one way then another. At 3-3 on games, the deciding game looked to be MDL’s before Minotaurs swung it around in the closing seconds. The Minotaurs went on to lift the Trophy and become the Leicester Deaf club cup champions.
The Closing Match was a ‘last man standing’ game which was won by Brad Stafford. well done to him.
Leicester Deaf Club would like to thank all the teams and players involved for playing. We hope you all enjoyed it and hope to see you all again soon.
